His interest in Stained Glass dates back to the early eighties. He began working hot glass in 1989. He has studied under Andy Andrews in England, Italian Maestros Loredano Rosin and Pino Signoretto at Pilchuck Glass School and American Maestros Karen Willenbrink, Randy Walker and Ross Richmond at Red Deer College.

Malcolm enjoys introducing newcomers and local media personalities to hot glass. He has instructed hundreds of beginners in the art and also demonstrates to the public with his traveling show, "Totally Amazing Glass!!" The show has been featured on most local and national radio and TV stations including Fairchild Television, the current show sponsor.

His blown glasswork is well represented by Canadian Galleries and his architectural glasswork is installed and enjoyed by many BC homeowners.
